Few days before Christmas we went to Luxembourg, loved the city even with all the snow! Luxembourg is a mix of several different countries....Germany, France, Spain, and Belgium.
I'm looking forward to going back when the weather is better, but it was so pretty like a winter wonderland. We had a great time.

Mr. and Mrs. C

We got to see Santa and the Mrs. today. Justin called and said he was at the hospital....so we rushed up there before he flew back to the North pole. Preston was so excited, but Cassidy was not. After a few minutes though she was all in to it and didn't want to get off his lap. Now the kids are on the count down when he comes to the house.

Not to happy Cassidy

Nuremberg

Over Thanksgiving weekend we went to the famous Christmas market in Nuremberg. Opening night was Friday and the Christmas angel makes her appearance to kick off the season. It was very crowded and we didn't get the best view, but a neat experience. The markets at night are very pretty and COLD! They have plenty of mugs of Gluhwein (hot mulled wine) to keep you warm.

Nuremberg sausages are the local dish. They are about the size of you finger and they eat them in 3's on a bun. The story is they were made that size to pass through small openings for the prisoners. So far they are my favorite brats here in Germany. Besides Gluhwein the market is also known for its plum people ( I'll have to post a picture of the one we bought later) and ginger bread cookies/bread ( Lebkuchen)

Saturday we walked through the market, went to the castle, and also went to the kids Christmas market. They had 3 little rides, kid friendly booths and lots of decorations. Both the kids really enjoyed it....so did we.

We had a great weekend, and will be visiting another big Christmas market next year!
Here is the website to the market http://www.christkindlesmarkt.de/english/index.php?navi=1&rid=2
